Job Description

VHR Global Technical Recruitment is seeking talented Design Engineers to join a dynamic a leading motorsport team in Germany.

This role involves leveraging CAD design expertise and cutting-edge technology to develop intricate 2D and 3D layouts using Catia V5. We are looking for creative, out-of-the-box thinkers and adaptable individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

Tasks:

• Conceptual and final design, drawings, and tooling of assemblies and components for various systems including:
  • Fuel system
  • Cooling systems (engine, GBX, hydraulics)
  • Hydraulics
  • Brake system
  • Etc.
• Conduct kinematic studies, 2D-layouts, and basic checks using finite element analysis (FEA) in Catia V5.
• Ensure comprehensive product lifecycle documentation in our PLM-system (Teamcenter).
• Develop full documentation including manuals as required, all in English.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within agreed cost limits.

Requirements:

• Degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience in designing motorsport components.
• Right to work in the E.U. 
• Strong design skills with advanced knowledge of state-of-the-art technologies and materials.
• High proficiency in motorsport parts and layouts, specializing in high performance components (e.g., F1, WEC, WRC, DTM, GT racing).
• Proficient in CATIA V5 (solid and surface modelling, drafting & FEA), MS Office, and classical calculation methods; knowledge of Teamcenter is advantageous.
• Professional proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus.
