Contract Opportunity – Flying Spanner Role
Location: Brussels, Belgium
Contract Duration: 6-month initial contract (potential for extension)

Role Overview

Our esteemed client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled EASA/CAA B1/B2 Licensed Engineer (or unrestricted B1 Engineer) with a Boeing 767 (CF6) Type Rating to join their team.

 

As a Flying Spanner, you will support twice-weekly charter operations to Asia, ensuring the highest levels of airworthiness and reliability for these critical flights.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive engineering support for twice-weekly charter operations, traveling with the aircraft to Asia as required.
  • Conduct daily inspections, turnaround maintenance, and resolve any arising defects to maintain airworthiness.
  • Coordinate AOG (Aircraft on Ground) solutions promptly to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with the flight crew and ground operations teams to guarantee the aircraft's operational status.
  • Manage aircraft readiness for 1–2 return flights per week originating from Brussels (BRU/CRL).

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Licenses:
    • Valid EASA/CAA B1/B2 Combined License or unrestricted B1 License.
  • Type Rating:
    • Boeing 767 (CF6), with currency.
  • Experience:
    • Previous “Flying Spanner” or charter freighter experience preferred but not essential.
  • Certifications:
    • HF (Human Factors), EWIS (Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems), SFAR, 
  • Skills:
    • Flexibility and adaptability to dynamic charter operations.
    • Commitment to ensuring operational excellence in high-pressure environments.
