Job Description:

As a Safety Advisor, your primary responsibility is to support and advise your colleagues on all matters related to occupational safety and health. You play a critical role in reviewing and analyzing occupational risks, with a particular focus on chemical exposure, noise, vibrations, and ergonomics. 

 

Your duties will include:

  • Policy Formulation & Organizational Development

    • Develop and formulate the company’s HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policy and Implement and embed the approved HSE policy across the organization.

    • Monitor and interpret international laws and regulations relevant to the HSE domain and advise the organization accordingly.

    Safety & Health Management

    • Conduct or coordinate exposure measurements, organize HSE-related actions as part of the annual HSE plan

    • Organize, execute, document, and follow up on safety audits related to working conditions.
    • Investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and follow up appropriately, in collaboration with the safety expert where needed.

    • Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for internal teams and external stakeholders

    Reporting

    • Report regularly to management on progress, incident trends, prevention measures, project outcomes, and any deviations or root causes.

    • Prepare and submit required reports to external (e.g., governmental) bodies.

 

Requirement:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • HBO-Bachelor level.

  • Completed HVK/ NEBOSH degree.

  • General knowledge of occupational hygiene. Prepared to obtain degree in Occupational Hygiene.

  • Legislation and regulations, in particular the Working Conditions Act.

  • Strong in both written and verbal communication in Dutch and English.
