Job Description

 

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented Aviation Repair Shop Engineers to join our team specializing in the inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft cabin components including water faucets, window shades, pilot headsets, and galley inserts. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with aviation standards, and a commitment to safety and quality.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair various aircraft cabin components including:
    • Water Faucets: Troubleshoot leaks, flow issues, and mechanical failures in lavatory and galley faucets.
    • Window Shades: Repair or replace damaged or malfunctioning manual or powered window shade mechanisms.
    • Pilot Headsets: Perform functional testing, component replacement, and cable repair for crew communication devices.
    • Galley Inserts: Service and repair galley equipment such as ovens, coffee makers, and water boilers in accordance with OEM specifications.
  • Perform component-level repairs and testing to ensure functionality and compliance with aviation safety standards.
  • Interpret and apply manufacturer manuals (CMMs), service bulletins, and engineering drawings during maintenance tasks.
  • Document work performed in accordance with FAA/EASA and company standards.
  • Use tools and test equipment safely and effectively, including multimeters, pressure gauges, and specialized test benches.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment within the repair station.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and engineering departments for component approval and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aviation Maintenance, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory):

  • FAA Part 145 Repairman Certificate or EASA Part 66 License
  • OEM training certifications on relevant galley equipment or headsets

Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience in aviation MRO, preferably working with cabin interior components.
  • Familiarity with ATA Chapters 25 (Interiors), 38 (Water/Waste), and 23 (Communications).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and maintenance documents
  • Knowledge of aviation safety and quality standards
  • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
  • Basic electrical and electronic repair proficiency
  • Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced shop environment

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity to work on small components
  • Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods

Work Environment:

  • Based in a Part 145 repair station environment
  • May require occasional overtime or shift work depending on workload
